Come Little Children

May 9, 2012 I stumbled upon this song entitled, Come Little Children. I did a little research about this song and I found out that this is originally a poem. And there are claims that Edgar Allan Poe wrote this but I am not quite sure about this. I mean I had a book compilation of all his stories and I've never encountered this one before.

Anyway so for everyone's information this is the poem:

Come little children I'll take thee away
into a land of Enchantment

Come little children the time's come to play
here in my garden of Shadows

Follow sweet children I'll show thee the way
through all the pain and the Sorrows

Weep not poor children for life is this way
murdering beauty and Passions

Hush now dear children it must be this way
to weary of life and Deceptions

Rest now my children for soon we'll away
into the calm and the Quiet

Come little children I'll take thee away
into a land of Enchantment

Come little children the time's come to play
here in my garden of Shadows
